Earls Truffle Fries

Earls Menu, Reviews, Photos, Location and Info - Zomato Ended up here with some friends after a late Meetup. Ordered Truffle Fries to share.

Truffle Fries ($8.25) with our custom salt and pepper blend, truffle aioli
  • Where's the truffle flavour and aroma? I got just a faint whiff of it.
  • Tasted like heavily peppered french fries.
  • For a bit more, you can get a really good portion of truffle parmesan fries from Joe Fortes during their Happy Hour.
Bibimbap ($15) Hot stone rice bowl, with carrots, mushrooms, zucchini and soft poached egg, sesame chili sauce
  • My friend's order. Didn't get to try it, but notable for not having a lot of rice.
  • Bowl was maybe only half full and most of it seemed to be the other ingredients, carrot, mushrooms, etcetera, plus the tofu for which she paid $3 extra.
Spacious location with some interesting decor, such as a giant chimpanzee. Table spacing also seemed very good, giving you reasonable privacy from neighbouring diners.

Currently they have a special promotion where buying a $50 gift card gets you an extra $10 usable only during a limited time in January/February (i.e., during the slow restaurant time when everyone else is doing Dine Out Vancouver).

ChatGPT Can Deliberately Lie to You. Yes, I have screenshots.

I was really shocked to discover that ChatGPT-4o "Plus" Plan can deliberately lie to you. Not just accidentally process data badly and come up with a bad conclusion. But lie to you because of: "Conversational Coherence" "Politeness Bias" "byproduct of how I'm designed to maintain conversation continuity, coherence, and repair" "create a false narrative to cover a logic failure" I've got screenshots but will provide the full transcript/context of the incident below. You can draw your own conclusions. The quoted items above are verbatim from ChatGPT's responses, so you can search to quickly go to the relevant sections if you prefer. NOTE: In the transcript below, I have put in RED selected text which I highlighted for ChatGPT to specifically address.

Trafalgar's European Explorer 2006 memoirs part 3

A picture from my 2006 trip, a Trafalgar 's bus tour, on an itinerary called the European Explorer. I can't remember why I had this couple in the picture, but I do vaguely remember this to be in London, on the first official day of the tour group getting together. Their insistence on my helping them take a picture caused the three of us to be late getting back to the bus. The local tour guide had a "rule" about lateness, that we had to buy chocolate to share with everyone. As it turned out, later in the trip, on at least two occasions, we were stuck on the highway on either a long commute or a traffic jam, and I had chocolate and chocolate-covered marzipan to share. About the chocolate-covered marzipan -- Apparently we were in Austria just as they were celebrating Mozart's birthday with special marzipans wrapped in foil with the famous composer's picture. I'm pretty sure it was Mirabell Mozartkugeln . Anyway, there were enough to go around the en...

Trafalgar's European Explorer 2006 memoirs part 10

The last of my pictures (at least the ones that survived the cheesy disposable cameras) from my 2006 trip, a Trafalgar 's bus tour, on an itinerary called the European Explorer. Below is the obligatory group photo. Not sure everyone's in it, actually. I'm pretty sure this one was taken by the tour director, Mike Scrimshire as I'm in the back row, on the right side.
